New York Comic Con 2026 Panel Confirmed with World-Premiere Screening
Today Toei Animation has announced that the new anime series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will begin broadcasting and streaming in Japan on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Alongside the premiere date, the Super Surge visual and full Super Surge trailer have been revealed, showcasing new characters and an escalating threat to Earth.
The striking Super Surge visual features God of Destruction Beerus with a fearless smile as he turns his attention toward Earth, while Goku confronts the overwhelming presence with a sharp, determined expression. The image also introduces Frieza and additional new threats targeting the planet, expanding the story beyond previous announcements made at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026.
The Super Surge trailer opens with a powerful Kamehameha and intercuts intense sequences of Goku and Beerus, foreshadowing an unprecedented crisis. In addition to Frieza, formidable new foes appear, highlighting both the scale of the new story and Goku’s continued evolution. The trailer is enhanced with the immersive, powered-up visuals exclusive to the ENHANCED edition.

Theme Songs Revealed
The opening theme is “ONOGAMI” by MEGATERA・ZERO, a singer-songwriter known for his powerful, one-of-a-kind voice and more than 1.6 million YouTube subscribers. The ending theme is “Kan Peki No Peki” by VK Blanka, a singer-songwriter celebrated for his crystalline vocals and melodies, who begins his 10th anniversary year this October. Portions of both tracks appear in the Super Surge trailer.

“I’ve watched Dragon Ball since I was young, so much so that it’s had a huge impact on my life. ‘ONOGAMI’ is a song I wrote out of a desire to capture the fighters I found throughout Dragon Ball — not only Goku and the others, but also the characters who showed up as formidable enemies — those who fight with nothing but their own strength, who fight believing in ‘ono ga mi,’ their own bodies and selves. New York Comic Con 2026 Appearance
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will make a major appearance at New York Comic Con 2026 (October 8–11, 2026). A special panel will feature a world-premiere advance screening of the series’ first episode.
