Singapore-based Encore Films has partnered with Warner Bros. India to distribute the highly anticipated animated film Ne Zha 2, set to release in Indian cinemas on April 25, 2025. This collaboration marks a milestone in bringing global animated content to Indian audiences, with Ne Zha 2 being promoted as the “All-Time No. 1 Animated Film in the World,” following the massive success of its predecessor.
Directed by Jiao Zi, Ne Zha 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 blockbuster that grossed over $728 million worldwide, securing its position as one of the highest-grossing animated films ever. The original film, inspired by the classic Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods, captivated audiences with its innovative animation, compelling storytelling, and a fresh take on Chinese mythology. Ne Zha 2 promises to elevate the franchise further, featuring the titular character—a young hero born from a celestial pearl—as he confronts new challenges in a fantastical world teeming with mythical sea creatures.
