Culver Max Entertainment Private Limited’s (formerly known as Sony Pictures Networks India) kids’ cluster channel, Sony YAY! is set to introduce Indian audiences with another exciting ninja anime show , Ninja Boy Rantaro from 3rd March 2025, Monday to Friday at 3:00 PM. Ninja Rantaro will be broadcast in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, and Malayalam languages, hence reaching a very huge population base in the country.

Prior to its television premiere on Sony YAY!, Ninja Rantaro has also been telecasted on Sony’s pay-only value-added platforms, reaching anime lovers on DTH platforms: Anime Booth (on Airtel DTH) & Anime Local (on Tata Play).These value-added platforms provide high-end anime series to subscribers with exclusive anime programming in addition to the regular TV timetable.

The story of Nintama Rantaro is described as follows:
” Rantaro is born into a rank-and-file ninja clan in the Sengoku era, and on his parents’ insistence to become a first-class ninja, he attends the Ninjutsu Academy.There he encounters Shinbei, a Sakai merchant’s son, and Kirimaru, whose life is difficult despite the fact that both of his parents were killed during the war.The trainees at the Ninjutsu Academy are training ninjas, or “ninja balls.”
Ninjutsu Academy is an extremely vibrant environment, and it has at its head an enigmatic and super intelligent ninja principal, special teachers, senior pupils, the very daunting “Kunoichi Classroom” girls, and ninja pup Hemhemu! Rantaro and the other three are always graded poorly and fail classes and exams, and somehow always succeed in doing nothing positive. They still have far to progress before they are great ninjas, but every day of Nintama life is bright, fun, and enjoyable! “
