The legendary anime One Piece season 1 officially returning to Cartoon Network India in New Regional Dubs after 18 years !
In a recent announcement on their social media platforms, Cartoon Network India confirmed that the One Piece 1999 series will premiere its iconic East Blue Saga starting December 8. Episodes will air every Sunday at 1:00 PM in five regional languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
This marks a nostalgic return for One Piece, which first aired on Cartoon Network India in 2006. At that time, the 4Kids Entertainment English-dubbed version, along with a Hindi dub, was broadcast on the Toonami block at 5:30 PM on weekdays before moving to a weeknight slot at 8:00 PM.
Earlier this year, Cartoon Network introduced the Wano Country Arc on May 5, airing it every Sunday at 1:00 PM in regional languages, later shifting it to weekdays at 9:00 PM. While the Wano Arc was praised by long-time fans for its vibrant animation and intense battles, it left new viewers confused as they jumped into the story without prior context. The decision to now bring back the East Blue Saga—the starting point of the anime—ensures a more inclusive experience for both new and old fans.
With the East Blue Saga focusing on Luffy’s journey to recruit his first crewmates and set sail for the Grand Line, fans can relive the beginnings of this epic adventure. Don’t miss the return of One Piece on Cartoon Network India starting December 8, every Sunday at 1:00 PM!
