Dragon Ball Returns to Cartoon Network India after 15 years in Multiple Dubs Starting August 25
Warner Bros Discovery’s Kid’s TV Channel , Cartoon Network India is set to reintroduce the classic series starting August 25, 2024 , Every Sunday at 2 pm. This time, the beloved show will air in multiple languages, catering to a broader audience with fresh dubs, including a brand-new Hindi version. This marks a significant milestone for Dragon Ball in India, where the series has had a rich history on television.
Dragon Ball first made its way to Indian audiences between 2001 and 2003, airing on the Toonami block in English. Though the English version had its loyal followers, it wasn’t until 2009 that Cartoon Network introduced the Hindi dubbed version of the series , airing weekdays at 9:30 PM. The upcoming re-release promises to rekindle that excitement with a refreshed Hindi dub, tailored for the new generation of fans.
Cartoon Network has long been the home of Dragon Ball in India, with a history of bringing the various series to Indian audiences in their local languages. The network first aired the Hindi dubbed version of Dragon Ball Z in the month of April in 2007, weekdays at 5:30 PM, which quickly became a fan favorite. Following this, Dragon Ball ( 1986 ) made its debut in Hindi on in 2009, with a primetime slot at 9:30 PM. The channel continued with the airing of the highly anticipated Dragon Ball Super ( 2015 ) , which began airing on May 22, 2022, on Sundays at 9 AM. Cartoon Network also aired the remastered version of Dragon Ball Z, Titled :- Dragon Ball Z Kai ( 2009 ) on April 16, 2023, Every Sunday at 1:00 PM, and . In addition to the series, Cartoon Network has also recently aired several Dragon Ball Z movies in new dubs back in 2023 , further solidifying its position as the go-to destination for Dragon Ball fans in India
