Sony AATH brings the cursed energy of Jujutsu Kaisen to Bengali audiences!
Sony AATH, the leading Bangla family entertainment channel, announced today that it will premiere the popular anime series ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ in Bangla. The show will be premiering on the channel from April 3rd onwards. The show will be airing daily at 5:00 PM.
This will be a big step towards bringing global content closer to the Bengali-speaking population of the world.
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is an anime show based on the best-selling manga by Gege Akutami. The show has gained immense popularity across the world and has been recognized as one of the top anime shows. The show was first premiered in Japan in October 2020.
The story revolves around a high school boy named Yuji Itadori who gets possessed with the strongest curse energy known as Ryomen Sukuna. He then enrolls himself in Tokyo Jujutsu High under the mentorship of the mysterious sorcerer Satoru Gojo.
The Bangla dub of the show premiering on Sony AATH is a continuation of Sony Pictures Networks India’s strategy of increasing access to international content for audiences across the country. Prior to this, in April 2025, the show premiered on Sony YAY! for the first time ever in India. The show was aired every weekday in a prime-time slot and included both Season 1 and Season 2 story arcs of the show, including fan-favorite storylines such as “Hidden Inventory” and “Shibuya Incident.”

Last year, while speaking with Sportskeeda, Ronojoy Chakraborty, Programming Head of Sony Pictures Networks India, indicated that they were planning to dub the show in many languages such as Bangla, Malayalam, Kannada, and Marathi. This move is also likely to have a strong impact on Sony AATH’s audience base since they are a Bengali channel that has previously focused on a more family-centric audience with a mix of drama, crime shows, and animation content. The addition of a popular anime show such as Jujutsu Kaisen dubbed in Bangla will have a strong appeal for the channel’s current audience base while also allowing it to appeal to a new generation of anime fans within the region. The show’s themes of good versus evil are also more likely to appeal to the people of Bengal since it is a universal concept that transcends age groups and has a strong appeal for the people of the region who have shown a strong interest in anime content in recent times.
