Sony Yay Announces Indian Television Premiere of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in Regional languages in October

The hit anime film arrives in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu as Sony YAY! expands its growing anime slate

Culver Max Entertainment’s kids cluster channel Sony Yay is set to light up the festive season with the Indian television premiere of the blockbuster anime film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in regional dubs, marking the first time the film will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu for television audiences.In celebration of the premiere, Sony Yay has advertised a “Coming Soon” motion poster teaser on television, starting the campaign for this highly anticipated anime movie.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is a 2021 Japanese animated  film based on the manga Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School (Volume 0), a prequel story written by Gege Akutami. The film is directed by Sunghoo Park from a screenplay by Hiroshi Seko, and produced by renowned animation studio MAPPA

The Japanese voice cast features Megumi Ogata as Yuta Okkotsu, Kana Hanazawa as Rika Orimoto, Mikako Komatsu as Maki Zen’in, Koki Uchiyama as Toge Inumaki, Tomokazu Seki as Panda, Yuichi Nakamura as Satoru Gojo, and Takahiro Sakurai as Suguru Geto.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 first premiered in Japanese theaters on December 24, 2021, becoming the highest-grossing film at the Japanese box office that year. The film made its Indian theatrical debut on June 30, 2022, distributed by PVR Pictures, earning ₹5.4 crore in its opening weekend and becoming one of the highest-grossing anime films of 2022 in India

Following its theatrical success, the film became available on OTT platforms in India, including Crunchyroll ,Prime Video and Netflix, where it continues to stream for anime lovers.

In 2025 , Indian Television Channel :- Sony Yay made history by bringing Jujutsu Kaisen to Indian television for the first time, with Season 1 premiering on **April 7, 2025. The channel aired two episodes every weekday from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST, with Season 1 running from April 7 to April 22, 2025. Season 2 followed immediately, premiering on April 23, 2025, and concluding on May 8, 2025.

The television broadcast featured fresh dubbing in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, distinct from the Crunchyroll versions, with content adapted for Indian television standards. This televised broadcast version also  available on JioHotstar, following the network’s recent anime programming pattern.

Synopsis :-

When they were children, Rika Orimoto was killed in a traffic accident right before the eyes of her close friend, Yuta Okkotsu.


“It’s a promise. When we both grow up, we’ll get married.”


Rika became an apparition, and Yuta longed for his own death after suffering under her curse,

but the greatest Jujutsu sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, welcomed him into Jujutsu High.


There Yuta meets his classmates, Maki Zen’in, Toge Inumaki, and Panda, and finally finds his own determination.


“I want the confidence to say it’s okay that I’m alive!”

“While I’m at Jujutsu High, I’ll break Rika-chan’s curse.”


Meanwhile, the vile curse user, Suguru Geto, who was expelled from the school for massacring ordinary people, appears before Yuta and the others.


“This coming December 24th, we shall carry out the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.”


While Geto advocates for creating a paradise for only jujutsu sorcerers, he unleashes a thousand curses upon Shinjuku and Kyoto to exterminate all non-sorcerers.


Will Yuta be able to stop Geto in the end?

And what will happen to breaking Rika’s curse…?
