Licensed by Medialink Entertainment, Zee Cafe’s New Anime Offering – Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma Joins the Channel’s 6 PM Time Slot, Replacing Overlord Season 4 After Its Television Run

Zee Café is set to spice up weeknights with the Indian TV premiere of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, airing from October 3 at 6 PM onwards. This culinary anime masterpiece, featuring Soma Yukihira’s epic cooking battles at Tōtsuki Academy, will be available in its original Japanese audio with English subtitles and a new Hindi dub. With this launch, Zee Café is taking anime to the next level for Hindi-speaking audiences, offering an exciting mix of genres—from action and adventure to romance, fantasy, and slice-of-life—bringing the world of anime closer to viewers through traditional linear TV.

Based on the manga by Yuto Tsukuda, Shun Saeki and Yuki Morisaki, Yoshitomo Yonetani directs the TV anime adaptation at animation studio J.C.STAFF. An English language version of the original manga is also available from VIZ Media. Crunchyroll describes the story of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma as :-

Shokugeki no Soma centers on Yukihira Soma, a middle school student who is determined to surpass his father’s culinary skills. One day, his father decides to close down their family restaurant and hone his skills in Europe. Before leaving he enrolls Soma in an elite culinary school that is extremely difficult to enter with a graduation rate of only 10 percent. Will Soma be able to improve his skills, or will the kitchen prove to be too hot?
