Get Tooned With Toonami Block on Cartoon Network India ( 2017 )

This isn’t Warner Bros. Discovery’s first attempt at reviving classic cartoon nostalgia on Indian television. Back in 2017, the company experimented with Toonami, initially launched as an action-adventure channel but later rebranded to focus on retro Cartoon Network shows under the tagline “Some Toons Live Forever.” Around the same time, Cartoon Network also introduced a late-night block titled “Get Tooned with Toonami”, bringing favorites from the vault back to TV. However, despite the nostalgic intent, the revamped Toonami failed to gain favorable TRPs and ultimately shut down in 2018.
