Good News for anime fans across India, Sony Pictures India and Crunchyroll have officially released the Hindi,Tamil and Telugu dubbed trailers for the upcoming film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle. The trailers were dropped on the official Sony Pictures India and crunchyroll India social media platforms YouTube channel building anticipation for the film’s theatrical release in Indian Theatres on September 12 .
The official main trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle was unveiled on June 28, 2025, during a Fuji TV broadcast event in Japan, featuring both Japanese and English dubbed versions. The trailer, which garnered over 40 million views within 24 hours on social media platforms, showcased the return of key characters like Tanjiro Kamado and the Hashira, alongside new additions to the English dub cast, including Channing Tatum as Keizo and Rebecca Wang as Koyuki. The trailer set the stage for the trilogy’s cinematic spectacle, featuring the theme songs “Shine in the Cruel Night” by LiSA and “A World Where the Sun Never Rises” by Aimer.
The first film, titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns, premiered in Japan on July 18, 2025, distributed by Aniplex and Toho. The film shattered box office records, earning ¥1.64 billion (approximately US$11.11 million) on its opening day, marking the highest opening day gross in Japanese box office history. Over its opening weekend, it amassed ¥5.52 billion (US$37.42 million) with 3.84 million admissions, securing the biggest opening weekend in Japanese cinema. Within eight days, the film crossed ¥10 billion (US$71.0 million), becoming the fastest to reach this milestone, and by day 17, it had earned ¥22.07 billion (approximately US$150.4 million) with 12.56 million admissions, ranking as the sixth highest-grossing film in Japan’s history.
International Release and The global rollout of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle began in August 2025, with staggered releases across various regions, distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment (excluding Japan and select Asian territories). The film premiered in the following countries with notable box office performance:
• Taiwan – August 8, 2025.
• Thailand – August 12, 2025.
• Cambodia, Indonesia & Vietnam : August 15, 2025.
• Malaysia, Singapore, and Pakistan on August 14 • Philippines – August 20, 2025
a wider rollout on September 11 across countries like Australia, Mexico, and Brazil. The film’s global release continues, with India, the United States, the UK, and others scheduled for September 12, followed by European markets like France (September 17) and Germany (September 25). While international box office totals are still being compiled, the film’s early success in Asia indicates a strong global performance, building on the franchise’s record-breaking history with Mugen Train.
About Demon slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle
Tanjiro Kamado – a boy who joined an organization dedicated to hunting down demons called the Demon Slayer Corps after his younger sister Nezuko was turned into a demon.
While growing stronger and deepening his friendships and bonds with fellow corps members, Tanjiro has battled many demons with his comrades, Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira. Along the way, his journey has led him to fight alongside the Demon Slayer Corps’ highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira, including Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku aboard the Mugen Train, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui within the Entertainment District, as well as Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji at the Swordsmith Village.
As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engaged in a group strength training program, the Hashira Training, in preparation for the forthcoming battle against the demons, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. With the head of the Demon Corps in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into a deep descent to a mysterious space by the hands of Muzan Kibutsuji.
The destination of where Tanjiro and Demon Slayer Corps have fallen is the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle.
And so, the battleground is set as the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons ignites.
