Dish TV has announced the launch of its new service channel, Crunchyroll Anime Top, created in collaboration with global anime streaming leader Crunchyroll. The channel will deliver a curated selection of popular anime titles such as Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Black Clover, and Jujutsu Kaisen, many of which are licensed for Indian television through Sony YAY!. These shows will be available in multiple regional language dubs alongside the original Japanese audio with subtitles

The service is priced at ₹1.67 per day (plus GST) and can be activated by subscribers via a missed call registration. Programming will include hit anime series familiar to Indian TV audiences, catering to both long-time anime fans and newcomers seeking high-quality dubbed content.

The launch of Crunchyroll Anime Top on Dish TV mirrors previous Crunchyroll-branded service channel rollouts on other platforms. For instance, Tata Play had earlier introduced Crunchyroll Anime Local, which featured similar content and multilingual dubbing. However, Anime Local was discontinued after a dispute between Tata Play (formerly Tata Sky) and Sony over carriage fees, leading to the removal of some Sony-owned channels from Tata Play’s base packs. As a result, certain Sony channels became available only as add-ons or à la carte subscriptions.

Airtel Digital TV currently operates Crunchyroll Anime Booth, another comparable service channel that also airs Sony YAY!-licensed anime titles with multiple language options. Much like these earlier ventures, Crunchyroll Anime Top on Dish TV will focus on providing localized anime entertainment — making globally popular shows like Naruto, Black Clover, and Jujutsu Kaisen more accessible to Indian audiences in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and other regional languages.
