Immersive 3D displays, transit takeovers, and gritty street visuals bring the hit anime’s post-apocalyptic world to life across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

Anime has moved off the screen and into the streets of India as Crunchyroll rolls out a bold, multi-city campaign for its new action series Gachiakuta. The activation — highlighted by a striking 3D out-of-home installation in Bengaluru and a wave of transit and station takeovers across major metros — reimagines urban commutes as immersive anime arenas.

At the centre of the campaign is a dynamic 3D OOH installation at Garuda Mall in Bengaluru that immerses passersby in the show’s trash-strewn, post-apocalyptic world, populated by the monstrous “Trash Beasts” that the series’ protagonist must battle.

The creative direction leans heavily into graffiti-infused visuals and high-contrast, street-style art that breaks the usual boundaries of TV promotion. The campaign extends beyond Bengaluru with full-scale transit branding across Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai — including bus and metro wraps and station takeovers designed to reach millions of daily commuters.

About the GACHIakuta:

Gachiakuta follows Rudo, an outcast framed for murder and exiled into a wasteland known as “The Pit.” To survive he must confront monstrous Trash Beasts and a brutal social order that discarded him — a brutal, graffiti-tinged narrative fused with shonen action.

Directed by Fumihiko Suganuma (in his directorial debut), with series composition by Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen) and music by Taku Iwasaki (Bungo Stray Dogs), Gachiakuta streams weekly and is available with dubs in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
