July 2025 brings exciting news for anime fans worldwide — Dragon Ball Z is now officially streaming on Netflix for the very first time. The platform has added the first arc of the legendary series, the Saiyan Saga, with 35 remastered episodes available in Japanese audio with English subtitles.

This marks the first time Dragon Ball Z has ever been made available on a streaming platform. The series originally aired in dubbed format on Cartoon Network/Toonami from 2007 to 2017, gaining a massive following across India and beyond. However, until now, fans had no official way to stream the series in its original language on-demand.

For those looking for a more condensed and manga-faithful adaptation, the remastered and filler-free version, Dragon Ball Z Kai, is available to stream on the Discovery Plus app and also via Amazon Prime Video through the Discovery Plus Prime Video Channel. Dragon Ball Z Kai trims unnecessary filler content, tightens pacing, and offers enhanced animation, making it a perfect entry point for newcomers or a streamlined rewatch for returning fans.

Additionally, the latest series from the franchise, Dragon Ball Daima, is already streaming on Netflix in Japanese with English subtitles. Regional dubbed versions of Daima are available on Crunchyroll, providing accessibility for viewers around the world in their native languages.

About Dragon Ball Z Saiyan Saga :–

The story unfolds as Raditz, a Saiyan who reveals that his is Gokou’s older brother, arrives and interrupts the great peace. The ensuing battle moves mountains, uproots rivers and even changes the Earth’s weather patterns. In the end, Gokou sacrifices his own life to ensure the end of Raditz and the safety of Earth. But before Raditz passes on, he reveals that forces of even more powerful Saiyans are coming to earth. So now, friends, allies and former enemies must band together to prepare for the invasion. Their best hope rests in their quest to gather the Dragonballs and wish Gokou, the only one even remotely powerful enough to stand against the mighty Saiyans, back to life … … if they have enough time. That’s all that’s standing between the Saiyans and the Earth’s total destruction.
