Sony Pictures India has officially confirmed that Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, the feature film based on the Reze Arc from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s smash-hit manga Chainsaw Man, will release in Indian theaters on October 31 , 2025 .
While the film will premiere in Japan on September 19, it will roll out early in over 80 countries on September 24, followed by a U.S. release on October 29.
Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc was originally scheduled to release on September 26, but Sony Pictures Entertainment India hasn’t issued any statement on the delay being caused by what reason. Nonetheless, the delay seems to be a planned one. The studio may be opting to prioritize Demon Slayer The Movie: Infinity Castle, which generated a lot of buzz after going viral over its latest Main trailer’s Audience Reception. Furthermore, the release of Shinchan the movie: the spicy Kasukabe Dancers in India may also have been on the cards so that there would be no overlap and competition at the box office.

Produced by MAPPA, the film stars Reina Ueda as Reze and picks up after the events of the first anime season. The story follows Denji, a devil-human hybrid working for Public Safety’s Division 4, who encounters Reze — a mysterious girl with a dangerous secret.
Film’s synopsis:
“Denji became Chainsaw Man, a boy with a devil’s heart, and is now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a girl who works in a café.”
The Chainsaw Man anime, also produced by MAPPA, first aired in October 2022 on TV Tokyo and Amazon Prime Video. The anime is available globally in multiple languages via Crunchyroll.
