Crunchyroll, the ultimate destination for anime, is thrilled to announce that Kappei Yamaguchi and Hiroaki Hirata, veteran Japanese voice actors who have brought Usopp and Sanji of the worldwide hit anime One Piece to life, will be guesting at Mumbai Comic Con on April 12, 2025. This will be their first time in India, providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans to meet the voice actors of two beloved members of the Straw Hat Pirates.
The event proves Crunchyroll’s dedication to fostering India’s growing love for anime, and specifically one piece, which has developed a strong fan base within the country. The show’s longtime fans and newcomers alike will be able to listen directly from Yamaguchi and Hirata about their experiences in the legendary adventure.
Sharing the excitement of their trip to Mumbai, Kappei Yamaguchi (Voice of Usopp) said:
“I’m visiting Mumbai for the first time! It’s always so exciting to be able to meet One Piece fans from across the globe. Let’s all have a fun time together!”
Hiroaki Hirata (Voice of Sanji) shared, “I’m very excited for my first visit to India.

This is the first historical visit after the achievement of the previous year’s Mumbai Comic Con which witnessed renowned faces from the anime world. In 2024, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba voice actor Natsuki Hanae, who has given the protagonist Tanjiro Kamado’s voice, and Aniplex producer Yuma Takahashi made their way to the city on April 20 as part of the Demon Slayer World Tour. Organized by Crunchyroll, their panel was able to entertain Indian fans with behind-the-scenes information about the series. Hanae won over the crowd by welcoming them in Hindi and reciting Tanjiro’s famous lines, which made it a moment to remember that displayed the rising popularity of Demon Slayer in India.
Crunchyroll keeps on transforming India’s anime culture in this manner, and the one being announced recently by the upcoming visit of One Piece voice actors is another historic one. Further details about how the fans will be part of history through this are to be released soon.
One Piece is a globally acclaimed anime and manga series created by Eiichiro Oda, following the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates as they search for the ultimate treasure, the “One Piece,” to become the Pirate King.

On Television Cartoon Network is currently airing it from Season 1 on every Monday to Friday at 8 pm. Since its television debut on December 8, 2024, two One Piece films have also premiered on the network.
