Netflix has unveiled the trailer the highly anticipated animated feature, The Imaginary, from Studio Ponoc. Based on the award-winning novel by A.F. Harrold and illustrated by Emily Gravett. The film will premiere on Netflix on July 5 in both English and Hindi.

The Imaginary is directed by a Studio Ghibli alumnus :- Yoshiyuki Momose who worked on Grave of the Fireflies, Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away in various roles including storyboarding and animation. Momose also directed the “Life Ain’t Gonna Lose” segment in Ponoc’s anthology Modest Heroes and the studio’s official Olympics short Tomorrow’s Leaves. He directed the anime film NiNoKuni ( Available on Netflix ) in 2019.

Synopsis :-

His name is Rudger.
A boy no one can see.
An Imaginary, imagined by Amanda, who has lost love. But Imaginaries disappear
when they are forgotten by humans.
Lost without hope, Rudger arrives at The Town of Imaginaries,
where Imaginaries once forgotten by humans live together…
